Our Journey

Welcome to Black Label Apparel. We love to design and we love Northeast Ohio.

Twelve years ago, we started with a simple idea: Come up with really cool apparel designs for Lakewood. Designs that people would be proud to wear around town.

“Hyper-Local” Wear.

With a small investment in inventory and 4 designs at a local Christmas show, we were onto something. The response from the community was overwhelming.

“We need more of this.”

So we kept going. We kept designing. We kept meeting more Lakewoodites, Clevelanders and Akronites. We kept learning new things like how to screen print ourselves.

As we met more and more folks from Northeast Ohio, we were repeatedly asked, can you design and print something like this for my company, my organization, my friend group? Of course, and we figured it out along the way. Our business rapidly grew to accommodate bulk printing for partners and we’ve grown every year since. Our reach has brought us to partners in Colorado, Virginia, Illinois and more. We can’t wait to see where we take our design ideas next!
